What Exactly is Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique, or QHHT?
It’s a fascinating approach to hypnosis that was developed over almost 50 years by Dolores Cannon. Essentially, the idea behind QHHT is to help you connect with that deeper, incredibly wise part of yourself – some people call it the Higher Self or Subconscious. Think of it as the part of you that holds the bigger picture and isn’t caught up in the day-to-day mental chatter.
How it Works:
It uses a very deep, natural state of relaxation, technically called the Somnambulistic state. It sounds fancy, but it’s actually that super-relaxed state you naturally hit right as you’re waking up or drifting off to sleep. Because it’s a natural state, it feels very comfortable and is extremely safe. The main goal is to gently quiet the conscious mind’s constant thinking, which allows that deeper wisdom and understanding to come forward. This can bring clarity about your life experiences – sometimes even offering glimpses that feel like past lives – and opens the door to your own innate potential for insight and healing.
What a Session Looks Like:
1.The Chat (Interview)(~1.5 – 2 hours): We’ll start by just talking – a 100% confidential conversation. It’s a chance for me to understand your journey, what you’re hoping to explore, and go over any questions you have. Bringing your questions, listed by importance, is super helpful.

2. Getting Relaxed (Induction)(Steps 2-6…~1.5 – 2 hours): Then, I’d simply guide you using visualization into that deep state of relaxation. Your only ‘job’ is just to relax and follow along.
3. Exploring Experiences: Once you’re nicely relaxed, your inner wisdom often guides the experience. You might perceive scenes, feelings, or experiences – sometimes they feel like past lives, other times more symbolic – but they’re usually relevant to what you’re seeking clarity on. It can be a bit like observing a meaningful dream.
4. Connecting with Your Inner Wisdom (Higher Self): This is a really key part. I’d ask permission to speak directly with that intuitive, knowing part of you (your Higher Self). It actually uses your voice to communicate and offers perspectives from that higher vantage point.
5. Insights and Healing Potential: This is where some really interesting things can happen:
- Understanding: Your Higher Self can explain why you were shown certain things or why things are the way they are in your life.
- Healing: We do what’s called a ‘body scan,’ asking your Higher Self if it can facilitate energetic adjustments or healing where it’s needed and appropriate for your overall journey. Healing is often possible, but it’s always in line with your soul’s plan, so there are no guarantees – it does what’s right for you.
- Answers: We directly ask the questions you brought! The responses are usually incredibly wise and loving, always focused on your highest good.
6. Coming Back (Awakening): Afterwards, I’ll gently guided back to full awareness, usually feeling really rested and peaceful.
7. Quick Review (Post-Session)(~1 hour): We’ll chat briefly about anything you immediately remember (people recall different amounts). The most important thing is you get an audio recording of the whole hypnosis part. Listening to this later is crucial – it helps integrate the information and continues the healing process. (Your session recording will be emailed 24-48 hours).
Life After a Session:
It’s good to give yourself some time afterwards to just rest and let everything settle. Many people mention feeling calmer, clearer, and just generally better in the days and weeks following. Listening to your recording really helps reinforce the connection to your inner wisdom and often brings new insights over time. You can think of it as continuing the conversation with the wisest part of yourself.
